Rachel and Colin will soon be with their loved ones for an early summer wedding weekend in the beautiful drifts of the Santa Ynez Valley. Lincourt Vineyards and Alisal Guest Ranch are both gathering places with unique histories and identities. Both are known for their hospitality and atmosphere of simplicity and rustic elegance. Rachel and Colin wanted an invitation suite that conveyed the rustic yet refined setting of the celebration to come.

The hand painted lavender watercolor details set the perfect tone for a weekend surrounded by the many vineyards and natural beauty of the Santa Ynez Valley.
The single initial
monogram wreath was custom designed and hand watercolored. It will be used throughout the wedding day-of-details and features bundles of lavender which grow abundantly in California.
Sage, sprigs of lavender, splashes of violet, plum and lilac were added throughout the to create unity. Vintage stamps in rusted rose, eggplant and pine pair beautifully with the antique white envelopes.
When Rachel and Colin's guests open their invitations, the envelope liner with its wild lavender illustration will seem to grow up and onward toward the sun. No detail being too small, we added a simple color backer to give weight and fullness to the invitation.
Food and wine were integral to the celebration. Rachel and Colin made sure the wedding menu was carefully crafted to ensure perfect food and local wine pairings.
Perhaps no flower is more well suited to the task of announcing a wedding celebration than the virtuous lavender plant with its subtle petals, silver leaves and intoxicating fragrance. Rachel and Colin's wedding weekend will be an extraordinary, elegant gathering nestled in the rolling hills of the Santa Ynez Valley.
