We understand the draw of the countryside and the desire to emphasize the unrefined, rustic beauty of time’s passage on some of the most humble structures. We were thrilled when our client, Christina, came to us with her wedding stationery suite idea. Christina and her fiance will be married this summer at Meadow Hill Farm in Tennessee, a fifteen acre bucolic farm whose history spans over a century.
Christina's inspiration came directly from the venue nestled in the rolling hills of Tennessee. The beauty of Meadow Hill Farm lies not only in the pastoral landscape but also in the charming ambiance where a century of weather and history have left impressions on the cottage and barn.
The charming venue will host many beautiful summer wedding celebrations this year and guests will gather on the idyllic prairie, woodland and gardens. English style cottage beds surround the buildings and meadows blanket the landscape. Walking around the farm one is likely to find white asters, wild orchids, goldrenrod and lady’s slippers in their paths.
The wedding invitation sets the tone for the celebration and serves as the first impression of the event to come. Christina knew she wanted the invitations to convey the spirit of the countryside and the unique character of Meadow Hill Farm.
We created a custom watercolor of the farm’s iconic prairie barn emphasizing the dreamy arcadian trees in the circle die cut menus and favor tags. After the ceremony, Christina and Douglas' guests will sit side by side at long barnwood tables warmly lit by the glow of strung lights and fireflies. A new moon will appear in the night sky that evening which means only the faintest whisper of that heavenly body will be visible. The milky white circular menus will serve as a nod to that most beautiful celestial sphere.
Sophia Loves Letters added her gorgeous modern calligraphic script in white ink to the suite’s golden brown envelope.
We relish the opportunity to create custom wedding suites for couples from all over the world and are thrilled to be a small part of Christina and Douglas' wedding day celebration.
